On a day when the sun was beating down as if the middle of summer, 11 members of the Cutting-Edge Medical Technology Group of the Healthcare New Frontier Promotion Headquarters Office visited the Tonomachi King Skyfront. At the 4th-floor seminar room in RGBT2, Mr. Suzuki, the administrative director, gave a talk on the features of the seminar room interior and server room, followed by Project Professor Yoshimoto (Organizer, JST Research Complex Program) who presented an overview of the research complex. Finally, Group Leader Yoshiyuki Makino of the Cutting-Edge Medical Technology Group explained the roles of and specific efforts made by the prefecture as the representative of the region, as well as mentioning episodes from the earliest days when the Research Complex Program began. After the visitors had deepened their understanding of activities through a variety of questions, the group moved out onto the North Terrace where they listened attentively to stories of how the Tonomachi landscape had changed over the past 3 to 4 years, as well as about the road connecting to Haneda Airport that is due to be completed in 2020.
