A facilities tour of the Tonomachi King Skyfront was held for a seven-person delegation from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) and the Kanagawa Prefectural Assembly, led by Sayaka Sasaki, the Parliamentary Vice-Minister to the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
After policy overviews on "Healthcare/New Frontiers," "The Regional Innovation Ecosystem," "A Single Application Artificial Pancreas," and "Voluminous Hair Regeneration" at the Life Innovation Center (LIC), they viewed the construction sites for the Haneda connection bridge from the fourth floor lounge of the LIC, subsequently touring laboratories of the Kanagawa Institute of Industrial Science and Technology (KISTEC), a local incorporated administrative agency located on the second floor of the LIC. The delegation then transferred on foot to the Kawasaki Life Science and Environment Research Center (LiSE) while being briefed on Tonomachi as a whole, where they heard explanations on the research sites for "functional food assessments" and "intestinal bacterial flora" at the Center for International Evaluation and Technology for Assessment of Me-Byo on the fourth floor of the LiSE. Finally, they made their way to the main seminar room on the fourth floor of the RGBT2, where Administrative Director Suzuki gave an overview of the campus, and Project Professor Yoshimoto, Organizer for the JST Research Complex Program, gave a presentation on projects of the Tonomachi Research Complex.
